DEPARTMENT OF ORAL PATHOLOGY AND MICROBIOLOGY

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology was established with the inception of the institute.

The undergraduate and post- graduate courses were started in the year 1999 and 2005 respectively. The Department is immensely proud to have PhD course, which started in the year 2010.

The laboratory has sophisticated instruments like automatic tissue processor (Micron, Germany), semi- automatic microtome, tissue embedding system etc., for the accurate and faster processing of the routine biopsy specimens.

The Department has state of the art 'Deca-head Microscope' from Olympus, which is extensively used, for PG training, slide discussions and interactive sessions.

Other department facilities include research microscope, polarized Microscope, stereomicroscope and image analysing software The Department is actively involved in research and publications
